Sharing results from the Immutable Desktop Workshop
Hello openSUSE! Let me share with you the results from our immutable desktop workshop. Users were given a set of tasks to familiarize themselves with the platform and then try to use it for a week as their daily driver. Here's the task list (please make sure to use the right tab) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1AGKijKpKiJCB616-bHVoNQuhWHpQLHPWCb3m... And here's the overall feedback gathered from two feedback workshops: https://lucid.app/lucidspark/79d2fc91-7fe5-493e-93ad-771e214a3e2f/edit?invit... We've received quite a lot of positive feedback. The single largest category that people complained about (but to be understood since we consume flatpaks from flathub) was aarch64. We've had a brave group of users led by Dan Cermak who tried the workshop on the aarch64, but the flathub offering on aarch64 is very limited. From voting three categories with the highest interests were * mod-firstboot approach to install additionals flatpak post gnome- initial-setup * RFE: to be able to build flatpaks from rpm (as the current way causes a lot of overhead) * transactional-update shell being super useful for tweaks of immutable-os etc. Lubos
