Thanks. For now the only way to use those devices, is executing it with sux from konsole (logged in kde as user), to have the root permissions. HI! I see that the bug 218393 appear as resolved, and I have updated the hal packages, but the problem to connect as user to the usb cam continues. I reopen the bug? (I have'nt created it) Or open a new bug? Reopen bug 218393 if it doesn't work for your scanner after you updated hal-resmgr. Use rpm -q --changelog hal-resmgr | head to verify that your hal-resmgr has bug 218393 fixed: ----------------------------------------------------------------------- * Mon Nov 13 2006 - lnussel@suse.de - move all resmgr fdi files to /etc so hal applies them last (#218393) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- File a new bug regarding other hardware. File a new bug regarding other hardware.
It appears: * mar oct 24 2006 - lnussel@suse.de - list only accessible devices by default - add --list-all option - just unref the dbus connection as closing it causes a warning * jue sep 28 2006 - lnussel@suse.de - fix program help text and README to reflect the new duties of hal-resmgr and resmgr - implement device flags (eg read-only) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
