You need to rebuild your kernel module packages, if you install a new kernel package. If you use external kernel modules, I strongly suggest you don't use Tumbleweed unless you know what you are doing, as the kernel updates are trickier for you, and not supported by me. :) thanks, greg k-h -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

OK, than the only the repo-Script failed, as it didnt do the kernel-devel-packages v 3.2.0-3.1 or didnt block the other kernel-packages, as it is still building nevertheless, it shouldnt build a new version as /Kernel:/stable/standard/ didnt change am i wrong?

noarch packages (-devel and -source) are uploaded even after both i586 and x86_64 are built. So you might have hit the time when one of those arches was built and uploaded, but not the -devel package. After the other built, it got uploaded. - -- js suse labs -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.18 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iQIcBAEBAgAGBQJPCxUoAAoJEL0lsQQGtHBJRbgP/A6m4PHuNXPlT5VzPj/SK8Wg YIC9llGCz3RUZbqSfGsRbemgspsDaCW/lrfrovBFHSf6Uk1KSlZ8jr5j40QZLOYB PykKH0pyXl+kiI7mdZ4rJoiKnxZbCkbRSDwI6eqyrTloAT6w2k/sxQs2quZ5MTun 2GYOxG1Y06GsXcpubyK9CT2EwqX0WrlnmRUwGBD2CDWZPg8mhTy44Zu9Sxw8cNdz emeq7Zy4/YnGeM8MfnvEYCHGmyuMaR6M9Y5I1Qy98Hhc5dO1aafkSqIcL5npJt8t ZtGAIDz5xQtrrvWjI6jgVC0zdCMmMhKZm+gMcOUBWTMQ/Om43miRgWq2S0SHRdjQ BMQRlteg9FEadIjZvEN5TskhUFevf9d0qc0lbfSH3/2aR4TJAHfjxVzIPIKJ2wqM YpZQqN+lB6MhRSzj0CelqxqQPy8VtK6BypcBtN3P0C33fkbqp+YSJ6div50cqR5z +2X85JvAuhXHLpCORgHxu00bH+NdxXobGajWTCQweosSFyc8gu4IJ85+zAa+VJJa padVCczKV4enUpuEOaXSkX2UmeFORMn54wuDODUGJS9BTaZ3JKoKRnyNA1cXwlFi LKzBPjccdu+0kmrN+XaLFwZjw5gq9cYlEtEKOg7wCZzgAOx83qpmbiIP9n1pKbf7 kmeFO9UsLoYTyq0HFgMk =Wc26 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

No, I did that, it seems the latest version of osc isn't liking that option, and the link breaks. I somehow ended up with kernel-desktop-3.2.0-3.1 rather than 3.2.0-2.1. I see that 3.2.0-3.1 is no longer available and 3.2.0-2.1 is along with the kernel-devel package. I am rm'ing 3.2.0-3.1 and installing 3.2.0-2.1 which should satisfy my system reqmt's. sorry for the noise and tks for attention. Don't understand how I got 3.2.0-3.1...... -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I'm guessing you did it the same way I did: by Zypper dup. Yes, that's true. I'm sorry for not stating more distinctly my question. I *know* that I downloaded 3.2.0-3.1 but do not know why it was available and then replaced by 3.2.0-2.1, or whatever transpired to effect this change. I now have 3.2.0-2.1 kernel-desktop and kernel-devel and am able to update vbox and the nvidia binary. just wondering...... must be advanced aging or DosXX :^) -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

It is most likely change that Jiri did to fix version, mentioned earlier in a thread, so there was no changes to actual software. -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
