DONT DO THAT! At least not right now. I also have this problem. It's something wrong with Packman build, though I don't know the root cause. The ffmpeg-6-mini-libs should be used only on the build service as a dependency for building other packages. It should not be used by end users. The fake dependency "this-is-only-for-build-envs" is used to ensure that. But for some reason zypper is trying to install it anyway.

Ok, I know what happened: There was an update to ffmpeg-6 merged into Factory. It's not released yet as a Tumbleweed snapshot. But Packman is not waiting for snapshots and released its version of updated libs already. This causes zypper to go nuts trying to make all dependencies happy, but it's an impossible task. Please wait for next Tumbleweed snapshot.

and a stop-gap method to do the update and delay the "problem", select the option to "keep installed package". those updates not related to the problem will then complete -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet oftc
