[opensuse-factory] about openqa
Hello, I don't know how to contact openqa admins. I see no "contact" on openqa page. I work for the multimedia team, the goal is to make video install tutorials. Of course openqa is the place of choice to find videos :-)) However, we need, if possible * 25 i/s video * several langages, probably english, french (and others if we find people in the marketting team to do them) is it possible? of course we need only *one* version of that (the simpler one) thanks -- http://www.dodin.net http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xgxog7_clip-l-ombre-et-la-lumiere-3-bad-pig... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGgv_ZFtV14 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

thanks Hi jdd,
now I added my contact info on openqa main page to make it easier. 25 fps is possible with my software, though kvm might be too slow to record in real time... and you do not want 20 minutes of footage watching the installation part, so some speedup will still be nice. knobs to tune are SCREENSHOTINTERVAL in env.sh and the fps in my tools/ppmtompg conversion script Alternative languages are possible in my tests with INSTLANG=de_DE Can do some runs in other common languages, but will need some adaptions for keyboard shortcuts e.g. http://openqa.opensuse.org/opensuse/video/openSUSE-DVD-i586-Build1070-fr.ogv only fails from the french keyboard layout in user setup (no : and , allowed) Ciao Bernhard M. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.15 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAk1ae2IACgkQSTYLOx37oWS0LQCeIiy6WOnxOisFnxAEQxyoOy4Y xJMAoMJfymutJSbnLZ8kQGstdeQ/EJAi =sKOc -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

atm, the openga result last only 1mn for the installtion part (the only that I need for now :-) it's much too fast to make any comment :-) that said, I can record myslf, but I can only use VirtualBox, and for all the beginning virtualbox keeps changing screen size and I don't know if/how make recordmydesktop follow the changes I will probably use a camcorder for that part thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xgxog7_clip-l-ombre-et-la-lumiere-3-bad-pig... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGgv_ZFtV14 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

You may also give xvidcap a try. My favorite. Or for the purist, ffmpeg -f x11grab -s 800x480 -r 30 -i :0.0+4,29 file.mpg cheers, JW- -- o \ Juergen Weigert paint it green! __/ _=======.=======_ <V> | jw@suse.de back to ascii! __/ _---|____________\/ \ | 0911 74053-508 __/ (____/ /\ (/) | _____________________________/ _/ \_ vim:set sw=2 wm=8 SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nuernberg) SuSE.
