[opensuse-factory] glibc-locale & bundle-lang-common
Hola, Just wondering: is there a good reason that we ship all the locale data in glibc-locale on all systems, instead of shipping the files in bundle-lang-common-* (so that people only have what they need)? (I know there are other files in glibc-locale, I'm just talking about /usr/lib/locale and /usr/share/locale) Thanks, Vincent -- Les gens heureux ne sont pas pressés. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

/usr/share/locale should be easy to split, the files there don't seem to be that huge though. To split /usr/lib/locale you would need to take a bit more care, and so far noone did. bundle-lang* is designed to be installed in parallel with the real thing, for glibc-locale you would need a real split I think. Feature#303360 (which predates openfate) was never looked at. I think, splitting glibc-locale into 3-5 chunks would already save a lot if you can find good chunks :) Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
