[opensuse-factory] AC power supply detection
Hi, I have Dell XPS 15 9560 and after some earlier releases A/C adapter detection does not work. upower detects changes every 120 seconds. When I unplug A/C adapter, brightness is not changed. There were some upower updates. It looks like this problem: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/upower/upower/issues/22#note_2766 Is there anyone with same problem? thanks, m. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Have you tried adding the following to the kernel command line in grub? I'm not an expert, but just to give an idea to see if it helps. acpi_osi=! acpi_osi="Windows 2012" -- Antonio Larrosa -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
Thanks Antonio, but these grub switches causes that my laptop freezes on boot. But what's important, that these feature worked very well a few updates earlier. m. On pondelok, 13. augusta 2018 14:23:50 CEST Antonio Larrosa wrote:

Could you try an older kernel? E.g. from Leap 42.3 or 15? https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/Kernel:openSUSE-42.3 https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/Kernel:openSUSE-15.0 thanks, -- js suse labs -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
thanks Jiri for help. I tried downgrade kernel from LEAP, but it does not help. Then I tried downgrade upower (0.99.7) & libupower-glib3 (0.99.7) also from LEAP & it works as expected. So result is that this problem is caused by upower (0.99.7 -> 0.99.8) upgrade from snapshot 20180803. thanks, m. On streda, 15. augusta 2018 9:05:54 CEST you wrote:
