[opensuse-factory] Can anyone tell me the story with iPython?
All, I have a package that "requires iPython". I believe iPython was in factory 6 months ago (or maybe not?). Today, I don't see it. (It is in Leap and 13.2) https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/openSUSE:13.2/IPython https://build.opensuse.org/package/show?project=openSUSE%3ALeap%3A42.1&package=IPython Can someone tell me if there is a replacement for that functionality in factory? Greg, The delete request of IPython was accompanied by this text: """This package is replaced by python-jupyter_ipython. The new package is from the same project, just modularized.""" Thanks I note the jupyter package in devel:languages:python is significantly updated versus factory. In particular it has: Provides: IPython = %{version} Obsoletes: IPython < %{version} Whereas the one in factory does not. That should allow my package (python-plaso) to once again be installable in factory. Any chance of getting the updated version in DLP SR'ed to factory? Or do I need to open a bugzilla? https://build.opensuse.org/package/rdiff/devel:languages:python/python-jupyter_ipython?opackage=python-jupyter_ipython&oproject=openSUSE%3AFactory&rev=4 https://build.opensuse.org/package/view_file/devel:languages:python/python-j... https://build.opensuse.org/package/view_file/openSUSE:Factory/python-jupyter...
