[opensuse-factory] M7 lacks mouse acquiring on VirtualBox
Hi List, I Updated and D-Updated (zypper up; zypper dup) M6 to M7 (my 11.2 is a virtual guest system) then mouse control disappeared: the pointer stays freezed on the centre of ggreter. I tried both booting by marking and un-marking "ACPI" and "IO-ACPI" on Sun VirtualBox settings, as well as booting 11.2 from default or failsafe without any difference. Any suggestions? TKS,
Do you mean that the mouse pointer is unresponsive even if you click in the VM window or just that the guest additions mouse integration is no longer working? If it is just the failure of the guest additions, I have found that (in M7, and possibly in previous versions) the virtualbox-ose package is missing the necessary hal policy files to autodetect the virtualbox mouse; I am working on a submitreq for it. Hi Tejas, I mean the first of your comment: mouse pointer is unresponsive, so that I am unable even to login. I also tried to use remote desktop function of VirtualBox (I am using the Sun latest version by the way), thinking it could be the solution, but again the pointer remains unresponsive. Currently I am downloading M7 DVD, to see if I can repair the installation.
