maintenance of Application:Geo shapelib
Hello folks, I'm trying to get review for Application:Geo/shapelib submission to Leap 16.0 https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/1197422 shapelib aside from posix_cc are the very last pending review in our large KDE staging. Package has a maintainer set but it seems that he did not touch on the package for a few years. . Would anybody be willing to step in? Many thanks ps. yes, I did email the maintainer -- Best regards Luboš Kocman openSUSE Leap Release Manager
I do use that library. Perhaps I can give it a go. It seems a rather straight forward bit of code. On Tue, Sep 3, 2024 at 11:56 AM Lubos Kocman via openSUSE Factory <factory@lists.opensuse.org> wrote:

Sounds good Roger! Would you be willing to step up for the maintainership too? On Tue, Sep 3, 2024 at 1:07 PM Roger Oberholtzer <roger.oberholtzer@gmail.com> wrote:

What all does that entail? Obviously, keeping the source stable/current and seeing that it builds for the defined targets. What more?

Pretty much what you just described + review of submissions for package from a non-maintainer just like this one for Leap 16. Lubos On Tue, Sep 3, 2024 at 2:38 PM Roger Oberholtzer <roger.oberholtzer@gmail.com> wrote:

I can give it a try. I tend to use the web interface to the build service. What's the next step? On Tue, Sep 3, 2024 at 4:14 PM Lubos Kocman <lubos.kocman@suse.com> wrote:
