[opensuse-factory] Bugs in Leap:42.1
I found a seg fault in Leap:42.1's midnight commander and an update will be available that fixes it but the problem was caused in pcre, a very much used and built against library on our systems. The pcre version in Leap has missed out on numerous fixes and I'm proposing an update to pcre-8.38 that doesn't seg fault with the present mc. Is anyone brave enough to install Base:System/pcre on their system to test, it works on mine? See https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=958373 and https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=958072 Regards Dave P -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

AFAIK, pcre comes from SLE12, so it means that we need the fix in SLE12 as well. That is, the update path should go through SLE12, then it'll be automatically merged back to Leap. Oh, and the bugowner of SLE12 pcre package is coolo :) Takashi -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

We have a set of new security bugs open for pcre, which we will get to at some point in the near future. Ciao, Marcus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

There is nothing funny about it - it's a very sad package to have ;) Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
