[opensuse-factory] Call for Action: Long standing build failures in Tumbleweed
Dear Contributors, As I informed a while ago, a new script is informing maintainers if one of their packages fails to build in Factory for a couple days (it does not send 'immediate' in order to not flood the mailboxes, some states are transient)
From the results, this is actually working very well (I see often just a couple days after the script notified that a submission to fix a package is incoming).
We o have a couple packages left though, that having been broken for a while and I would like to ask everybody with power and will to step up and assist the existing maintainers with fixes and thoughts. The packages are: loki_setup Fails build openlmi-networking missing dependencies in TW password-store Seems not to like GPG 2.1 perl-GnuPG-Interface Seems not to like GPG 2.1 rubygem-xmlhash Missing dependencies scilab Fails build I am sure if we all step up together, also those longer standing errors can be resolved (or packages be dropped if they are deemed no longer relevant) -- Dimstar / Dominique Leuenberger <dimstar@opensuse.org> -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

The packages are: loki_setup Fails build The last commit/activity against loki, upstream is over two years ago, and loki itself has been gone since 2007 as near as I can tell. I would say this one is a pretty good candidate for removal from Factory openlmi-networking missing dependencies in TW password-store Seems not to like GPG 2.1 perl-GnuPG-Interface Seems not to like GPG 2.1 rubygem-xmlhash Missing dependencies scilab Fails build
I am sure if we all step up together, also those longer standing errors can be resolved (or packages be dropped if they are deemed no longer relevant)

Yeah, openlmi-networking needs openlmi-providers which needs pcp - and pcp is a beast to build :-/ David and I still try to tame this beast. Thanks for the notice Klaus. I'm still a bit wondering why/how openlmi-networking managed to enter TW with the missing build dependencies; I guess the repo-checker missed something here :) Dominique -- Dimstar / Dominique Leuenberger <dimstar@opensuse.org> -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

scilab Fails build
I have just started taking a look at how to fix scilab, so please don't drop it yet.
