telegram-desktop segfaults after QT6 update
Hello, After the latest update (I think the one that introduced QT6), telegram-desktop segfaults and refuses to start. When I launched it from console I get the following message: ** (telegram-desktop:10539): WARNING **: 11:53:50.643: Unable to load patched fonts with Qt workarounds, expect font issues. QPainter::begin: Paint device returned engine == 0, type: 2 QWidget::render: Cannot render with an inactive painter qt.svg: Error while inflating gzip file: SVG format check failed Segmentation fault (core dumped) And in dmesg I can see this: telegram-deskto[5052]: segfault at 0 ip 00007f72f0962d22 sp 00007f72d0bfc6c0 error 4 in libQt6Svg.so.6.6.0[7f72f094a000 +3a000] likely on CPU 3 (core 4, socket 0) Should I open a bug report for it or there is any workaround? Regards, Stratos.

This is a regression introduced with qt6-svg; the original Qt bug report is here: https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-117944 I took the related fix and put it in our KDE:Qt6/qt6-svg package, SR is https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/1118054 Please accept it so it'll find its way to openSUSE:Factory resp. Tumbleweed! TIA, cheers. l8er manfred

My SR has been accepted and is in openSUSE:Factory now. It is not yet in Tumbleweed, though, we'll have to wait for probably the next snapshot. I'll send another update when I know which snapshot it'll be in. Cheers. l8er manfred

The next Tumbleweed snapshot 20231017 will have the fixed package to make telegram-desktop work again: libQt6Svg6-6.6.0-2.1.x86_64.rpm Cheers. l8er manfred
