[opensuse-factory] kernel-desktop and kernel-desktop-base
Hello. kernel-desktop-base-3.2.rc6 conflicts with kernel-desktop-3.2.rc6. Does it mean that I don't need kernel-desktop-base anymore and it is safe to remove version 3.1.0? x86_64 -- WBR Kyrill -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

correct, kernel-desktop-base contains a strict subset of the files in kernel-desktop, you don't need both, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger aj@{suse.com,opensuse.org} Twitter/Identica: jaegerandi SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GF: Jeff Hawn,Jennifer Guild,Felix Imendörffer,HRB16746 (AG Nürnberg) GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

It was even dangerous to have kernel-*-base kernel packages that did not conflict, as installing a kmp or running zypper dup could pull in the -base package as dependency, add it to your bootloader and fail booting (without drivers for your filesystems and block-devices). So good change. Ciao Bernhard M. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
