[opensuse-factory] openSUSE 13.1 RC1 released
Hello guys, With one day skew against the plan for mirror sync we at openSUSE team happily announce the release [1][2]. Apart from this lovely announcement from Jos we should start focusing a lot on the stability as I said in yesterdays mail. [3] Basically try to fill up factory with 13.1 fixes so it is more reliable and smoth to show up everone how great distro is done. While testing also focus on bugzilla skills and try to report as much things as possible there without using mailinglists or irc. We need to properly track and mitigate the issues to decide what really needs to go first and what next. With issues reported just here or IRC it is more work for me or coolo to remember those and try to figure out solutions. Good luck with testing and have fun Tom [1] https://news.opensuse.org/2013/10/11/opensuse-13-1-rc-1-available-time-to-te... Hello to my best knowledge these two should differ. But I might be wrong so someone else should verify what I say ;-) Cheers Tom

13.1 was split from factory a couple weeks ago. Factory already has post 13.1 SRs in it, so I assume you want to stick to the 13.1 repositories if 13.1 is what you want. That's why I'm asking. What are the correct links to the 13.1rc1 repos? I don't find anything else but CDs http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/13.1-RC1/ cu, Rudi -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Yes. If you want to use 13.1 please just use what zypper has by default, ie http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/13.1/repo/oss. That is currently a redirect to factory-snapshot but that is just an implementation detail that might change at any point in time. Soon factory-snapshot will be actually factory again. cu Ludwig -- (o_ Ludwig Nussel //\ V_/_ http://www.suse.de/ SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Jeff Hawn, Jennifer Guild, Felix Imendörffer, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

WTF I've never tried this because http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/13.1/ is 404 and here is no 13.1 http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/ I can understand that you want to hide it until release but at least you could list the repo subdir dir there http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/13.1-RC1/

But not before 13.1 final release, right? Anyway since the final repos work already I will use that ones. cu, Rudi -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

It may not necessarily be intentionally hidden. You just won't see Apache-level redirects ("Alias" directive, which I think may be used, since 13.1 does not show up in the actual filesystem as a symlink) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
