[opensuse-factory] FIBMAP problem solved
Remember when I asked this group about FIXMAP just blastin down my screen. Well it turns out to be a openSuSE kernel that has the error. I replaced it with a kernel 3.1.0-rc3 and the problem is gone. -- 73 de Donn Washburn 307 Savoy Street Email:" n5xwb@comcast.net " Sugar Land, TX 77478 LL# 1.281.242.3256 Ham Callsign N5XWB HAMs : " n5xwb@arrl.net " VoIP via Skype:n5xwbg BMWMOA #:4146 Ambassador " http://counter.li.org " #279316 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

It was not the kernel but preload-kmp which was dropped recently. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

not sure it was dropped (I had to taboo it on 11.4), but it seems to be the buggy app jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://www.youtube.com/user/jdddodinorg http://jdd.blip.tv/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

If you have it previously installed it may be there as a zombie normally a zypper se -s preload against factory-oss will show you that this package is not more there. but it will be showed installed in @system But if you work with kernel:head, yeap it's actually there (sounds like a forget) | preload | package | 1.2-66.26 | x86_64 | factory-kernel-head -- Bruno Friedmann Ioda-Net Sàrl www.ioda-net.ch openSUSE Member & Ambassador GPG KEY : D5C9B751C4653227 irc: tigerfoot -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

I installed a fresh openSUSE 12.1 M5 from the X86_64 DVD, so no left overs from previous systems. I did a "zypper rm preload" with no apparent ill effects. -- fr.gr.
