[opensuse-factory] Opera opensuse 11.1 Beta 5.2 Fonts shrunk for google
Just wanted to see if others have experienced this issue: Here's a screenshot of the fonts from a previous build (9.62-1.1) [1] And another from the newest build of 9.62-2.1 [2] Both are using the same .opera folders, and have uninstalled and re-installed serveral times to make sure I wasn't losing it. I've filed a bug report [3] for anyone that cares [1] https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=254503 [2] https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=254504 [3] https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=447882 Anyone experience this? I used finance.google.com to check. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Did you check /etc/opera6rc, too? This file is included in the rpm. Perhaps "Force DPI" has changed between these releases. For me, a disabled "Force DPI" yields to wrong font sizes in some pages. The problem seems to be the fact, that many pages require a screen resolution of 96 dpi (Windows, IE). If your resolution differs, font sizes given in pt will be displayed way too large or font sizes given in px will be displayed way too small. Check the effect with these test pages: http://share.webtoman.com/opera/test/fonts_pixels_points.html http://mrmazda.no-ip.com/auth/Font/fonts-pt2px.html Gruß Jan -- The field of probability is too important to be left to chance. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

(Uhh.. Funny you should ask...) There were a few conversions about possible default font changes for opera that occurred during the past week. I believe. Though too, it could be just coincidence.... -- David C.
