This makes some sense since DVDs are becoming the most widely used for distribution. Most of the linux magazines only include DVDs, not CDs and DVD drives have been common for several years now. This would also allow inclusion of more content and allow users more choice of software. I saw zypper make that proposal on several M1 systems today, and proceeded to not by: # zypper in gio-branding-upstream # zypper al gdm gnome-session-core # zypper dup I don't know what that new gio stuff is, but some of it won't allow removal without removing virtually everything KDE-related. Oh, this also explains the KDE livecd issue. We added a require on gdm-branding-openSUSE in gio-branding-openSUSE, and this has this small side-effect...

We'll fix it ASAP, sorry for the mess.
