[opensuse-factory] New package: apache cassandra
Hi,
I would like to propose the addition of a new package to openSUSE:
Apache Cassandra.
"The Apache Cassandra database is the right choice when you
need scalability and high availability without compromising
performance. Linear scalability and proven fault-tolerance on
commodity hardware or cloud infrastructure make it the perfect
platform for mission-critical data.Cassandra's support for
replicating across multiple datacenters is best-in-class,
providing lower latency for your users and the peace of mind
of knowing that you can survive regional outages."
I have prepare a package of the most recent version at
https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:nicolasbock:midokura/cassandra
Any comments or suggestions are most welcome!
Thanks,
Nick

Hello That is nice, but it seems to me that you are just repacking prebuilt binaries - which is not acceptable for TW Cheers Martin -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iQIzBAEBCAAdFiEEwQnJ+Ps8HqIKhK3yWyRdZ/3eaFcFAliwPlMACgkQWyRdZ/3e aFfTSRAAiRrkXLFSlMbiwWcGXywXytGB6lp7iSW4XB0+am8wD4SIr2+vt5sDfddm hMazINe+dlcL/fc1r24PJZ1hsKjDb1n/H3xBYssYhR9qxZlhMzNK18+me/USXrNY UU1zGEUmTN3DULjEgww0OVReGbNFWc6wVZA/AmLvcMv3WzXlY4Q8fe44we+O+962 EF4lCoEWkCNLt1oKSss0CeA4vqZPQb9hTbWNu1NaBxxMUJoXQ4g7xZ607LaEuv7w LuY7G/BRGxOo4vD7OoTxw/Yvnqg6hXQquTgz5PxGV2ssdS07dVOnmdR4SSuyTdmc 4atTVOKy7OoA3+DBQ4ZVv78j7RxmIOdC3I4FE63NRjQ+xs98qGL+1WPPXU2/IRnH UagC7nTsQB8s9YsSa7WGmSrRngobns9E5b2fl5NYcBfPYUAkhyy/UFUI4045Asob tVTPX19it4/EjVR74gC8CrlugvfoHjr5yXVVSYL/KCa6n/lmrV8r/qlWWt1QKyNw YgSc4aCkOQmBO74Gtx2dRl2lFyVndA4yy+AHBJYskIP3Yu0kZs2jXZahz9tNjA2k wN60/O6yC6cTNSFlTIhp/J3TxR/cZN6jRi3jFxD/k+uO/WulHk6cjPykTe+4szPP kRExfe+cxkJgLIQO9WfYUpr39BhVVWL8EggEUyICNSxlPwFhDMM= =OWTk -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Ok. So the package needs to be built from source completely?
Cheers

In most cases yes
I'll work on the packages a bit more and try that. Thanks! Nick
