[opensuse-factory] Can't load YaST plugins
Updated to the latest snapshot (200151002) just an hour ago. I tried to launch the Software Management in yast, and nothing happened, so I ran yast2 in konsole, and clicked on several plugins in yast. This is the output: Run command: /sbin/yast2 sw_single & terminate called after throwing an instance of 'YUIPluginException' what(): Couldn't load plug-in qt YaST got signal 6 at file /usr/share/YaST2/modules/Wizard.rb:782 /sbin/yast2: line 440: 3802 Aborted (core dumped) $ybindir/y2base $module "$@" "$SELECTED_GUI" $Y2_GEOMETRY $Y2UI_ARGS Run command: /

I just solved the issue, and tried to post a solution to the list but it got rejected by an access rule. Basically, Tumbleweed did not upgrade the libyui- qt packages

Right after the upgrade of Tumbleweed and a reboot I search for installed packages which are no longer in a repository "zypper se -si '*' | grep Syste". I found a number of libyui packages. After that I did a "zypper se -s libyui" and found new versions with a higher number in the package name, which were not installed. After that I did a "zypper rm -u" for the installed libyui packages, which automagicly proposed to install the higher versions. So I answered yes. Did not try yast with ncurses -- fr.gr. member openSUSE Freek de Kruijf -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

might be another case of "zypper up" vs "zypper dup" "zypper dup" worked for me and did exactly what you described above automagically -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
