Dear all,
I just wanted to mention that the kernel-xen build (for both i586 and x86_64) has been failing in Tumbleweed for a couple of days, giving problems upon doing a zypper dup, which proposes to upgrade kernel-desktop while simultaneously downgrading the kernel-*-devel projects.
https://build.opensuse.org/project/status?project=openSUSE%3ATumbleweed
The
error message in the build log is:
[ 8927s] /home/abuild/rpmbuild/BUILD/kernel-xen-3.6.5/linux-3.6/init/main.c:638: undefined reference to `efi_free_boot_services'
Is this a bigger problem or just a spontaneous hiccup?
All the best, Peter

It should be fixed by now. Xen is always a bit behind.

This does not seem to be fixed, kernel-xen (and subsequently also kernel-xen-devel) has been consistently failing for the last 10 days in Tumbleweed on both architectures.

Hopefully, this is solvable at some point! :)
All the best, Peter

I see. It is fixed in kernel:stable which tumbleweed takes kernels from. We were just travelling a lot lately, so give us a bit time until this is propagated to tumbleweed.

Yes, sorry, I'll not be able to update the kernel until tomorrow when I return to my workstation.

No worries, I am just glad to hear that the problem is already fixed further up the ladder and all it takes is to wait for it to land in Tumbleweed! :)
Cheers, Peter
