Greg can you please indicate what the outcome of your proposals where around Tumbleweed becoming a standalone rolling release? Should we install openSUSE 12.3 then update point the repos to Tumbleweed and zypper dup from there? Or will there be a separate new (one off) iso for the Tumbleweed install? Sorry if i didn't understand the details of the "future directions" discussions. I do not know yet, I will be testing out the "full distro" solution and if it works, switch to that. But it will take me a few weeks at the earliest to know for sure.

Tumbleweed will not have isos, sorry. Just upgrade to 12.3 for now, anything Tumbleweed does in the future will be compatible from that, I'll make sure. greg k-h -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Does this mean that there may not be any Tumbleweed activity on 12.3 until you can sort that out?

Fair enough.

Ok so it will just be a matter of changing the repos within in 12.3 and updating from there - like the existing method for switching to Tumbleweed?

Probably, there's usually no Tumbleweed activity for a few weeks once a new release is out anyway to get all of the issues worked out with it first.

I want to stay with Tumbleweed 12.2 for a while but I have problems with the Updates repositories, both Updates-current and Updates-non-oss-current are pointing to 12.3 updates repositories so they are not usable with my current Tumbleweed 12.2 setup. I've changed the Updates repositories from "current" version to 12.2 and installed Flash player security patch, and seems to work but I would like to know if it's the correct thing to do or I've done something wrong. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

No, that's the correct thing to do for now. Feel free to upgrade to 12.3 when you want to. greg k-h -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
