[opensuse-factory] wpa_supplicant error after upgrading - kernel: netlink: 'wpa_supplicant': attribute type 213 has an invalid length.
I have a shared wifi connection configured on my tumbleweed box. It has suddenly stopped working after one of the recent upgrade and I am not sure which snapshot broke the wpa_supplicant. None of my clients are now able to connect to the configured hotspot. After some investigation, I find the following message in the logs when a client tries to connect Nov 16 10:23:26 MediaCenter kernel: netlink: 'wpa_supplicant': attribute type 213 has an invalid length. I have this wireless Network Adaptor - 08:06.0 Network controller: Qualcomm Atheros AR5416 Wireless Network Adapter [AR5008 802.11(a)bgn] (rev 01) $ cat /etc/os-release NAME="openSUSE Tumbleweed" # VERSION="20181112" ID="opensuse-tumbleweed" ID_LIKE="opensuse suse" VERSION_ID="20181112" PRETTY_NAME="openSUSE Tumbleweed" ANSI_COLOR="0;32" CPE_NAME="cpe:/o:opensuse:tumbleweed:20181112" BUG_REPORT_URL="https://bugs.opensuse.org" HOME_URL="https://www.opensuse.org/" Google search revealed this to be an issue with https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1570903 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1571256 Has anyone else faced this problem and is there any workaround? I tried the workarounds in the first link above. Didn't help me. Let me know if I need to provide more information. -- Regards Manvendra - http://www.indimail.org GPG Pub Key http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0xC7CBC760014D250C -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
