[opensuse-factory] Banshee and ndesk-dbus-glib, a case of terror...
Hi all, For quite some time I've been struggling with a problem which wasn't easy to spot, at least for me. Banshee 2.1.0 drops ndesk-dbus-glib and uses now dbus-sharp-glib. The Project config for Factory (and others) has a prefer entry for ndesk-dbus-glib, and this will kill Banshee for sure. Thanks to darix I found out we could override this with an entry "#!BuildIgnore: ndesk-dbus-glib". I'm just wondering if that 'Prefer' on the Project Config has a special reason for being there? This is just pure curiosity, I don't mind having the spec to ignore it. Thanks in advance, NM -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

The Prefer is only important if there is a choice. So if you want the other half of the choice, then use that as buildrequires and there will be no choice left.
