[opensuse-factory] all manpages broken?
Hi, is it again just me or all manpages missing dashes? I looked at "man setfacl" which was missing the dashes in front of all options. Now I looked at "man bash" and "man ls" and they are all missing the "-" in front of all options. anybody else seeing this? Or can anybody find a bugreport for this? regards Felix Möller -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

I've reported it, too. It only happens for root and not for regular users. https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=456754 Wolfgang -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

This has nothing to do with the user, but with the locale. root has often another than the user. Just play around with LC_ALL=C Greetings, Stephan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Looks fine here. Tried with another terminal font? Or xterm vs. konsole? Or on the system console? CU -- Stefan Hundhammer <sh@suse.de> Penguin by conviction. It works for me... but that could be related to using vim instead of your pager? Well, it looks like less works here too. http://picpaste.com/man_bash.png [evan@~]» rpm -qa | grep "^man-" man-pages-posix-2003a-2.23 man-pages-3.13-2.6 man-2.5.2-17.6 -- Evan McClain /* No Comment */ evan.mcclain@gatech.edu

I'm using zsh with man set to: /usr/bin/man $* | col -bp | iconv -c | view -c 'set ft=man nomod nolist' but running /usr/bin/man bash gives the correct pages (with dashes) using less.
macbook:/home/fm # locale
