Yes I can find it, but now; how to open it to modify? Thanks, André den Oudsten -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Use a "text editor" and make an original copy or backup so you are able to recover if you foobar it. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

In the back of my mind I think Packman is the key issue. I rarely use Packman packages, so I have no personal feedback. Greg -- Sent from my Android phone with K-9 Mail. I did exactly this upgrade with minimal issues, and I use a whole host of repos including Packman. The issues I encountered would have been encountered regardless of what I upgraded from. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Virtually no different than a zypper dup withing Tumbleweed except I changed all repos to Factory, and I included packman Factory. I saw some early problems with yast but they related to perl package versions not matching yast packages and should be gone by now. I also had a problem with my nvidia display using nvidia drivers, solved by generating a new xorg.conf using nvidia-config. I imagine you will find some conflicts probably from orphaned packages. I approach these by first retaining the installed version and later examining orphaned packages to see which need to be retained or if suitable replacements exist. After success on my main desktop, I converted the other five local machines (and two neighbors), all successfully. I say: go for it. gud luk, -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
