[opensuse-factory] Removing WebYaST from Factory

Hi, The YaST team currently maintains WebYaST, although this is right now not under active development. We are considering dropping maintanance for Factory so we can focus our efforts on YaST itself. We are aware, that there are WebYaST users in the openSUSE community, however, given the amount of bugs, which are reported, as well as data we have from SUSE Studio (where WebYaST is not used very often either), it looks obvious that YaST is much more used than WebYaST (and, I admit, in the past, YaST did not get the amount of care that it would deserve). Let us know, if you have any comments on this move. Alas, poor WebYast! I knew him, Horatio. More seriously, I think this is a good idea. While I was, like many, enamoured by the idea of WebYaST, the reality never really took flight, and there’s plenty of other tools in that do the job (eg. WebMin) There's nothing quite like full-blown YaST, so I'm happy to see WebYaST go if it brings focus and attention to YaST Thanks for everything, Richard -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Thanks for everything,

+1 I've installed webcast, but in no way depend on it. Having yast return to its former state is far more important than webyast. Greg -- Sent from my Android phone with K-9 Mail.
