Hi, it looks like Firefox just had a major issue with an expired certificate, causing it to automatically disable all extensions and preventing the installation of new ones. https://discourse.mozilla.org/t/certificate-issue-causing-add-ons-to-be-disa... (Site currently under heavy traffic or something, doesn't always load.)
Certificate issue causing add-ons to be disabled or fail to install:
12:50 p.m. UTC / 03:50 a.m. PDT: We rolled-out a fix for release, beta and nightly users on Desktop. The fix will be automatically applied in the background within the next few hours, you don’t need to take active steps.
In order to be able to provide this fix on short notice, we are using the Studies system. You can check if you have studies enabled by going to Firefox Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> Allow Firefox to install and run studies.
You can disable studies again after your add-ons have been re-enabled.
We are working on a general fix that doesn’t need to rely on this and will keep you updated.
Here's my bug report: https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1134127 Would it be possible to push out an urgent update to the Tumbleweed Updates repo? Or any other temporary workaround recommended for openSUSE users? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I think this is an upstream problem, not an openSUSE issue. Workaround: open a tab with about:config and set the parameter xpinstall.signatures.required to false restart the browser, and reverse the setting once the fix is in place...
