[opensuse-factory] Lightweight imapproxy
Hi, As the subject mentions, I am looking for a lightweight imapproxy, to be used on the firewall/gateway server which should provide access to the inside (NO DMZ) located cyrus-imap server. Any suggestions that work (almost with no problems would be great) on TW. I seem to remember dovecot (IMAP server) has an IMAP backend (so there's the proxy feature). -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Jan> I seem to remember dovecot (IMAP server) has an IMAP backend (so there's Jan> the proxy feature). Thanks but it seems from a quick read I need to install dovecot just to use the proxy part. I have a functional cyrus-imapd running on the local-lan so I don't need a full blown imap package Looks like I am going to stick wit my current plan to use stunnel until I find a better alternative. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Well, stunnel is considered more of a VPN than an ALG (application-layer gateway, aka proxy). -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Probably, the proxy part could be packaged separately, eg. by defining a sub- package in the spec. Given, you get it separated properly, this might prove useful in general. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
