[opensuse-factory] zypper
Still using alpha2+. When I run zypper update it tells me: A ZYpp transaction is already in progress but if I try to see the process, there is none. What am I doing wrong? is any rpm process running? in 10.2 this is enough for that error message. On Thu, 19 Apr 2007, Edward Dunagin wrote:

If really no other yast component is running: Not good :-( I suggest to do an update to Alpha3 with booting from the media to have the system in a defined state. There were some problems in the Alpha2+ time frame that should be fixed. If it occurs again, please open a bugreport and attach the zypper log files, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj/ SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126

zypp-checkpatches? is opensuseupdater in checking state? it is strange, in case a program crash, libzypp detects if the pid of the owner of the lock is still running, and if not, it takes new ownership of the lock.
