Was this packaged dropped from openSUSE or wasn't there to begin with? I have come across a number guys, mainly newbies, who have got into a rut trying to use minicom, I pointed them to gtkterm which is a GUI with a simple menu that eliminates the confusion.
No more gtk1 apps (finally) in openSuse. Bye.
http://freshmeat.net/projects/gtkterm/ yes I know, sorry for the mistake about gtk. Anyway, it seems outdated. Last release is from 2003. Might be this the reason.. Bye.
November 2005 actually, version 0.99.5. OK, but it builds and runs fine and is an improvement on minicom though it's not been updated in over 5 years. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ...
