[opensuse-factory] nofail fstab entries for unattached external storage = delayed boot
For some external devices I have LABEL= fstab entries to minimize inconvenience of mounting in same specified locations every time they *are* connected and powered, and have nofail (as opposed to noauto) in their fstab options to keep them from preventing boot past emergency mode. $SUBJECT is not true with the same fstab entries in 13.1, 13.2, or Rawhide with 3.18.1 kernel. During init the tty1 messages pause a long time, probably at least 15 or 20 seconds, for systemd start jobs waiting. Is this a known issue? I don't see anything that looks on point in Bugzilla. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." Proverbs 16:21 (New Living Translation) Team OS/2 ** Reg.
