[opensuse-factory] Is this true?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, I opened a bugzilla because I no longer can type the file name when attaching a file. This is a changed behavior, and it has been closed as invalid. Is the reason given true (see below) ? I can't believe it. And if is true the bug is not invalid, simply has to be moved to the firefox team instead. I ask here because here we all use bugzilla and we are affected. There is no list dedicated to bugzillas AFAIK. I _hate_ when they close a bug as invalid, it is like negating there is a problem :-/ - -- Cheers, Carlos E.R. - ---------- Forwarded message ---------- Date: Mon, 10 Nov 2008 15:25:32 -0700 (MST) Subject: [Bug 428638] Bugzilla: can't type attachment name https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=428638 User ...@novell.com added comment https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=428638#c1 Greg Hendricks <...@novell.com> changed: What |Removed |Added - ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution| |INVALID - --- Comment #1 from Greg Hendricks <...@novell.com> 2008-11-10 15:25:30 MST --- Bugzilla has no control over the browser's handling of the file input box. Here's where the problem began upstream: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=258875 Unlikely there will be a solution in the foreseeable future, except to use a browser that lacks that restriction, one of which is SeaMonkey 1.1.12. -- "Love is not easily angered. Oh dammit! I hate when they do that :-/ I'll see tomorrow if I email you the bugzilla. Or anybody that wants it, after removing email addresses, which is the only possible sensitive info in there I can think of. Now it is too late. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. I like the way Konqueror handles the exploit, it will just prompt you if you want to upload the file. Been like that for a while... a quick proof that this has nothing to do with bugzilla echo '<form enctype="multipart/form-data" action="__URL__" method="POST"> Send this file: <input name="userfile" type="file" /> <input type="submit" value="Send File" /> </form>' > test.html firefox test.html -- "Divinity and Lust Are forever forbidden to meet" Cristian Rodríguez R.
