[opensuse-factory] AIX box running Linux?
Has anyone attempted to run a old IBM AIX box on openSuSE. I think it is an AS 400 with a PowerPC CPU. How much trouble is to get this running openSuSE. I am not sure of the iSeries Model -- 73 de Donn Washburn 307 Savoy Street Email:" n5xwb@comcast.net " Sugar Land, TX 77478 LL# 1.281.242.3256 Ham Callsign N5XWB HAMs : " n5xwb@arrl.net " VoIP via Gizmo: bmw_87kbike / via Skype: n5xwbg BMW MOA #: 4146 - Ambassador " http://counter.li.org " #279316 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

openSUSE has signalled intention to drop PowerPC support I think. There is still 11.2 for the platform, so you can give that a try. There is 32-bit and 64-bit, you would have to check your hardware specs. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ...
