[opensuse-factory] Problem connecting to network after 12.3 RC1 upgrade
Hi, I am not able to connect to network after upgrading to 12.3 RC1. I get a DHCP address but none of the connections go through. rcnetwork start shows: redirecting to systemctl restart network.service" Job for network.service failed. See 'systemctl status network.service' and 'journalctl -n' for details. More information at: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=803058 Can someone help me workaround this ? -- Sankar P http://psankar.blogspot.com -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Did you try running "NetworkManager" manually. That's what i have to do Greg -- Sent from my Android phone with K-9 Mail. Please excuse my brevity. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

This seems to be a side effect of a drop* of NETWORKMANAGER in /etc/sysconfig/network/config - so the systemctl mask network.service systemctl enable NetworkManager.service is the trick. Adding mt to CC to make him aware. * see 0.80.0 changelog entry in sysconfig package Regards Michal Vyskocil
