Dunno. Supossedly it affects factory with zypper 1.0.1, so Jan Kupec says, but I don't understand it as the last zypper in factory is 1.0.0 - and "zypper ref" says I'm current and there is nothing to download, even though system says it is beta 5.2, not RC1. Hm. So it really was translation of an empty string it seems (the .po file header displayed by zypper). Did you remove zypp.mo? Please create a bug report in bugzilla and attach your zypper.log.
