[opensuse-factory] WARNING - TW 20160222 was released without openQA testing!
Dear Tumbleweed users, please be informed that today, the snapshot 20160222 has been released to the FTP tree, BUT this snapshot has not even seen a single openQA test. Be extra careful when updating. Of course, with all the staging I do not really expect for any big surprises - but hey: famous last words, right? We will have to analyze what went wrong, which system was at fault and to find the proper safeguards to ensure this won't be happening in the future. Please accept our apologies - I will inform again when either a) openQA had a chance to test it and we can consider 0222 as 'regularly safe' b) a new snapshot is being released that DID pass openQA testing Dominique -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Patrick, That goes well with the exectation - most issues are seen in the staging areas after all. The biggest things that went in were; * KDE applications 15.12.2 * glibc (incl CVE fix, as published already in :Update) Nothing else very big hit it - so the risk is rather low to have see anything break. Same experience here. Updated two systems, worked for a couple of hours and everything seems OK so far. -- SUSE Linux GmbH, GF: Felix Imendörffer, Jane Smithard, Graham Norton, HRB 21284 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstraße 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Thanks for sharing. I already pulled in the updates before seeing this, no issues to report so far. -- Gertjan Lettink, a.k.a. Hi everybody, As promised I wanted to let you know that openQA finished the test run on the 20160222 snapshot and did not find anything to worry about. In the current state, the snapshot would have been released to you all as it is anyway. So, another day filled with luck - and the next snapshot won't be that long to wait; but let's at least wait again for openQA to test BEFORE we get them on our machines ;) So, all good. The ones that held back with the update: feel free to resume your normal update cycle.
