[opensuse-factory] Support for Julia Language in i586 is being dropped in openSUSE, I need help to solve
Hi! As of now, I'm dropping the support for Julia Language in openSUSE Tumbleweed i586. After the upgrade to glibc 2.23, a issue in which the root cause has not been determined yet is preventing julia to be built against i586. I opened bugs in upstream: * https://github.com/JuliaLang/julia/issues/16087 * https://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=27548 Now, I really could use help from the community to track the problem down. I will describe what I am seeing: * LLVM (3.3 or 3.7.1) is failing to build inside julia building process for i586; * If I chroot to the build directory, the command that segfaults during the LLVM building process works without problems; * LLVM 3.3 can be built as a standalone package; * If I use the standalone LLVM 3.3 to build julia, I get strange errors that may indicate that LLVM was not built properly; * Neither Fedora nor ArchLinux had problems to build julia (i586) against glibc 2.23. Given all that, I really suspect that the problem is with openSUSE, but I just can't even isolate to fill a bug.
