[opensuse-factory] libreoffice hangs when opening property windows
Is libreoffice in current TW snappy for anyone, in GNOME? Opening the printing dialog, or opening the properties window of Calc cells, or opening the properties window of a Writer table takes ages. I think each of those windows appeared instantly with the snapshot from early September. I think it behaves like that for at least two weeks. Olaf
Hi Olaf, You're not the only one. I'm seeing it here on Calc dialogs too, on Gnome. I'm curious, anyone running KDE could tell us if he has the bug? -- Cedric On Wed, 2016-10-26 at 08:33 +0200, Olaf Hering wrote:

Probably again the highly experimental and imho not-ready gtk3 support in LO (what a luck GTK4 will be shipping soon.. .maybe LO will catch up with GTK3 then) zypper rm libreoffice-gtk3 Cheers, Dominique

For the record, that is https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1001167 Could we make it that this is not pulled in by default? Cheers, zypper rm libreoffice-gtk3 brings LO back to behaving normally. -- Gertjan Lettink, a.k.a. Knurpht openSUSE Board Member openSUSE Forums Team -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

No hangs here in KDE (TW and openjdk 1.8.0_101). -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I get a slight delay if i've configured not to use the Libreoffice open/save dialogs but not anything to worry about -- opensuse:tumbleweed:20161023 Qt: 5.7.0 KDE Frameworks: 5.27.0 KDE Plasma: 5.8.2 kwin5-5.8.2-161.1.x86_64 kmail5-16.08.2-1.1.x86_64 Kernel: 4.8.3-1-default Nouveau: 1.0.13_1.1 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

GM, sorry to add a new and different LO malfunction on same subject but it is very annoying: If you open an xlsx file by LO then you save it as Office file not ods or odt, then you close it then you open it again it will have the fisrt half of it unreadable because LO insert a sort of object on top of the original rows and columns hiding the original data. It is very bad behavior I hope someone else noticed it. Thanks!
