[opensuse-factory] Bugreports go to black hole?
![](https://seccdn.libravatar.org/avatar/8d38dde60257fffd229ae536674c6afe.jpg?s=120&d=mm&r=g)
What sort of "community" distribution is this? I submit bugreports but then when I search the bugzilla they do not appear. Why is that? How long typically does it take to get a report rejected after its submitted? --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Bugs are not rejected. I see no bugreports from you in the tracker at all. Did you submit them correctly? You know if you have been successful because you get a br # back. I keep a log in my computer of all b/r that I do by number and a one line to remind me what they are. Then it makes easy to go look it up again if I need to. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Do you know that it's not necessary at all?! Just log in and select "My Reports" in the "--Bugzilla--" drop down menu ;-) -- Regards, Carlos Goncalves --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

-- Regards, Carlos Goncalves --------------------------------------------------------------------- Actually I did know that but I still like to track because of putting b/r into multiple systems. i.e. not one database but it was great for you to mention this.

Open any bug report while logged in and near the bottom you will see "saved search" and "my bugs". Click on "my bugs". When that opens, click the link "edit search". When that page opens, remove the checkmarks from "bug assignee" and "information provider", and add a checkmark to "the reporter". Then remove all selections from "status", then click "search". When that opens, down near the bottom, fill in "all my bugs" in the save as box, then click the "save" button. From then on, any time you are on any buglist or report page, you can open "all my bugs" from just clicking the new link Bugzilla put after "saved searches". You can also bookmark that report page. -- "Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation?" Matthew 7:12 NIV Team OS/2 ** Reg. If you change a setting you get back an email with every change made to the bugzilla, including your own changes. The first email is thus the initial report. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. bad start... I submit bugreports but
then when I search the bugzilla they do not appear. Why is that?
maybe the search engine is having problems ? How
long typically does it take to get a report rejected after its submitted?
Bugs reports are always welcome, and you encouraged to report bugs, however the initial reply make take some time, you will recieve notifications on the status an results, if you dont in a few weeks, ask for feedback, if still no feedback, email the assignee, if that does not work, in the case of openSUSE, set the bug report NEEDEDINFO to coolo@novell or politely ask in this list, include your bug number. And remember, patience is a virtue. ;-) Cya. -- "Perhaps, my biggest pet peeve pertaining to safe_mode is that it is not really safe, merely offering an illusion of safety that does not stand to closer examination" - Ilia on PHP safe_mode Cristian Rodríguez R.
