[opensuse-factory] kdepim in beta1: No more syncing of any kind?
Just noted that in beta1 there is no more kdepim3-sync package. I see some note in the kdepim3 changelog about a switch to opensync (which I have installed, also the kdepim plugin). However, Kontact is complaining about a missing libmultisyncpart.la when I chose "Synchronization". Something I'm missing here? (On a related note: Has anybody been able to sync the contacts to a mobile phone from kaddressbook via gnokii? I'm still a victim of bug #112907015...) Obviously I meant #203321 (somehow the middle-click insert of marked text never inserts the text I think I've marked????) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Is this an upgrade or a new Beta1 installation? Does this file exist on your system, and if it does, which package owns it? Can you post the output of: rpm -qf /opt/kde3/lib*/kde3/libmultisynkpart.* Andreas --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

I guess my install is factory since factory exists ;). Should do a new install some time... ;).

No, it doesn't exist. Must I install some multisynk packages? I thought opensync replaces multisynk: Installed packages (kdepim3* and *opensync*): kdepim3-3.5.5-16@x86_64 kdepim3-notes-3.5.5-16@x86_64 kdepim3-mobile-3.5.5-16@x86_64 kdepim3-time-management-3.5.5-16@x86_64 kdepim3-networkstatus-3.5.5-16@x86_64 libopensync-tools-0.19-9@x86_64 libopensync-0.19-9@x86_64 libopensync-plugin-irmc-0.19-9@x86_64 libopensync-plugin-file-0.19-9@x86_64 libopensync-plugin-kdepim-0.19-12@x86_64 libopensync-plugin-gnokii-0.19-9@x86_64 libopensync-plugin-syncml-0.19-9@x86_64 libopensync-plugin-gpe-0.19-9@x86_64 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

No. I just thought that it might exist and that this might cause the error message. But that's obviously not the case. Well, kdepim3 should of course not look for libraries that don't exist anymore. But I don't know why it does. There is already a bugzilla about this. There wasn't one when I searched earlier today. World is moving to fast for me, old man that I am ;)))). --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Use kitchensync insted.

That looks like a bug worth for bugzilla.
