[opensuse-factory] Where are we CONTRIB?
Could somebody involved with the contrib repository explain what the current status is and what are the next steps? Could somebody involved with the contrib repository explain what the current status is and what are the next steps?
Thanks, Andreas
Hi Andreas, I had a busy week, and other contrib-utors weren't active. Anyway: The status is that we are reviewing packages: iperf, banner. And rejected one package: putty. All the progress is documented here: http://en.opensuse.org/Contrib http://en.opensuse.org/Contrib/packages -- -Alexey Eromenko "Technologov" --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Next steps would be reviewing more packages, and including the successfully reviewed ones. Plus we need to agree on that policy: http://en.opensuse.org/Contrib/Adding_new_packages -- -Alexey Eromenko "Technologov" --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Ideally _before_ we start reviewing packages. Michal --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

About putty being rejected because gtk1 dependency, according to this post (http://jamesmcdonald.id.au/open-source-apps/putty-gtk2), GTK2 support is now upstream. There were no official releases with GTK2 as of now. -- -Alexey Eromenko "Technologov" --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Not really involved but an opensuse-contrib mailing list has been created to move the discussion about Contrib to there and hasn't seen any post yet. :-) Bye, Steve --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
