[opensuse-factory] set time format changes half of desktop language on plasma
in answering a question, i investigated Regional-Settings:format -> I changed to spanish (OP had done this by right clicking the clock) now about half of my destop is in spanish ie. the launcher, yast etc. for example clicking on RS:spell checker (corrector ortographico) many of the sub items are still in english looking at other settings: yast still claims english, RS:language still claims english. (spanish is not even listed as available) is this a bug or an irrational and unintuative interface design? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

You'll need to log out and back in. This is due to how the control panel works, due to severe limitations on Qt's locale support (which are, unfortunately, very hard to get it right and no one, except from KDE, seems interested in fixing there). -- Luca Beltrame - KDE Forums team GPG key ID: A29D259B

thanks but this is AFTER LOGOUT. why would changing format (no mention of language) change (half) the DE language? (in contradition to all other settings) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
