[opensuse-factory] status distribtution
Hi, gcc44 hit the factory repo yesterday afternoon. zypper dup didn't show any errors, which is good. I didn't yet have the chance to see if the system also works flawless, I hope someone else might have news. Otherwise I let you know later today. Unfortunately the NET isos do not work as they are not yet adapted to the new libraries and it will take a while to fix this as currently factory is rebuilding from scratch ;( KDE 4.3b1 is waiting to be taking into O:F, so it should be in Milestone2. I tried the unstable live cds and the desktop doesn't show any obvious problems. How long does it usually takes to rebuild whole factory? And how many PCs (CPUs/Cores) work on it? -- -Alexey Eromenko "Technologov" -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Well, gcc44 was checked in friday at lunchtime and the repo went out on monday late afternoon. The build service reports 196 build hosts (one CPU each). So, basically whole openSUSE distro is about 2 days to compile, right? -- -Alexey Eromenko "Technologov" -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

I did zypper dup earlier today. So far everything seems to work nicely. (Note that i'm still using the kernel from 11.1, since i'm too lazy to recompile the nvidia drivers for the new kernel). -- cheers, jano Ján Kupec YaST team ---------------------------------------------------------(PGP)--- Key ID: 637EE901 Fingerprint: 93B9 C79B 2D20 51C3 800B E09B 8048 46A6 637E E901 ---------------------------------------------------------(IRC)--- Server: irc.freenode.net Nick: jniq Channels: #zypp #yast #suse #susecz ---------------------------------------------------------(EOF)---

Works fine here, the only problem I have seen that *sometimes* "preload" kernel module oppses on boot in Virtualbox... no clue why.. -- "If this is the best God can do, I am not impressed" -George Carlin (1937-2008) Cristian Rodríguez R.
