Guess What? My Brothers MFC7840W printer is not printing after reinstalling Brothers drivers cups driver and correcting the udev problem. This all worked in openSuSE 11.3 M6 It is now printing a test page after running yast2>hardware>printers test page. It did find the printer correctly but the test page appears as it left hand margin is about 1/3 off the way across the page.
