[opensuse-factory] video dvd authoring
Hello, It look like no authoring dvd product works with present factory * kdvd don't works at all (it's the only working app in 11.2) * deVeDe ask for spumux that is not available anywhere (and should not be required, as it's only for subtitles) * no "todisk" is availalble (nor, of course gtodisk) and on 11.2 fails with "no mp2enc nor mpeg2enc" jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://www.facebook.com/pages/I-support-the-Linux-Documentation-Project/3720... http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-fan-page-of-Claire-Dodin/106485119372062?v... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

I've just looked through multimedia:apps and AFAICS there aren't any dvd authoring packages. I use dvdstyler which doesn't seem to be present in packman yet. I will examine these packages and see if I can put a couple in multimedia:apps but they can only be submitted to the next openSUSE version after 11.3 release. You need to ask packman why there aren't any dvd authoring packages for 11.3 yet. You most probably have the 11.3 version of mjpegtools installed, you need to install the packman one, there is an 11.3 version.

The dvd authoring packages I had a quick look at need ffmpeg so there's no hope of them ever being in openSUSE. They also need dvdauthor which doesn't exist in openSUSE and might as well stay as a packman package if the packages that need it are all there. spumux comes from the dvdauthor package, I've emailed the packman maintainer of most of the dvd packages about the lack of dvd authoring apps for 11.3 and offered to help if needed. Here's the reply :- 11.3 == Factory Anybody who uses factory should be able to rebuild our source rpms. We don't have enough buildpower to build all packmanstuff with factory. Wait for 11.3 rc2, at this time we start to build for 11.3. Detlef So we have to wait for rc2 Regards Dave P -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
