That's not a zypper problem, but a problem with the package download. I can download it just fine now, maybe you hit a bad mirror.
subsequently, "zypper ve":

The following NEW package is going to be installed: bundle-lang-common-ar
This should go away once the dup finishes. (It's a known glitch in the sat solving algorithm, unfortunately I have no idea how to solv it.) tks,
I've investigated the problem and it seems to be due to a not updated english language package. Check all your lang-en packages have been updated, I had one (can't remember which) left over from 11.1 after a zypper dup which was causing this anomaly. I didn't file a bug because I looked for the 11.1 language package, which was still there after zypper dup to pre milestone 11.2 and assumed it was because I had missed it. If you have an old language package left over please file a bug against libzypp or give me the details. I had one old -en package that had somehow got left behind and I kept on getting strange foreign language packages installing which I could delete with no problem afterwards. I put up with this for a while until I saw someone else on this list had a problem. Thats when somebody suggested I had an outdated -en package, I searched for it found it, updated it and the problem went away. This problem is most probably related in some way. I have seen this happening with earlier releases as well and have had the explanation that for some strange reason it was required by another package. Reading your bug report, the "remove one foreign bundle-lang package and it's replaced by another" is the exact symptom of what I had and others over time and releases. If you use yast and keep on deselecting you eventually end up with only english. It has never caused any problems apart from a Meg of disk space and minor irritation. I wonder what removed your bundle-lang-common-en in the first place? Don't have a clue.... But some time after reinstalling it, I was able to rm bundle-lang-common-ar w/o a required replacement and it has not come up again :^). yast2-registration-branding-openSUSE finally disappeared also :^)! But another problem arises after updating to MileStone 4, kdeinit4 will *not* start. I have installed xfce4, which I like almost as much as kde, to use until I find a solution. I have not seen an answer on the list, nor in the chat rooms..... But I am using 11.2 to serve my youth soccer pix and for day-to-day ?work?.
And I do a "zypper ref;zypper dup" *every* day :^).
Thats the problem with daily updating with factory, if there are packages that fail to build you can sometimes have problems, also kdm4 is now called kdm and other kde packages are being renamed until all kde4- packages loose the kde4 part of the name and kde3 versions get kde3-, I looked at openSUSE:Factory where the packages in factory come from and I couldn't find kdm. [07-22-09 14:10]: I've investigated the problem and it seems to be due to a not updated english language package. If you have an old language package left over please file a bug against libzypp or give me the details.
fresh 11.2 install, so should be no 11.1 or earlier packages...
there were some inappropriate packages, thou:
14:36 wahoo:/home/pat # rpm -qa bundle* bundle-lang-kde-de-11.2-9.1 bundle-lang-kde-fr-11.2-9.1 bundle-lang-kde-ru-11.2-9.1 bundle-lang-gnome-extras-en-11.2-15.2 bundle-lang-kde-en-11.2-9.1 bundle-lang-kde-it-11.2-9.1 bundle-lang-gnome-en-11.2-9.1 bundle-lang-kde-es-11.2-9.1 bundle-lang-kde-pl-11.2-9.1
removed them:
14:36 wahoo:/home/pat # rpm -e bundle-lang-kde-de bundle-lang-kde-fr bundle-lang-kde-ru bundle-lang-kde-it-11.2-9.1 bundle-lang-kde-es-11.2-9.1 bundle-lang-kde-pl-11.2-9.1
now:
14:38 wahoo:/home/pat # rpm -qa bundle* bundle-lang-gnome-extras-en-11.2-15.2 bundle-lang-kde-en-11.2-9.1 bundle-lang-gnome-en-11.2-9.1
