[opensuse-factory] PolicyKit and Digikam
Many weeks ago, upgrading with smart, it replaced mDNSResponder with avahi-compat-mDNSResponder, and then, Digikam has hanged, any time I would to connect the cam. Then I installed mDNSResponder with smart, and it has removed avahi-compat-mDNSResponder, and digikam worked ok. With the two last updates (the last was not complete), Digicam can't connec to the camera, but now I mean that is a permission problem, derived from PolicyKit, because the permissions are set only to root in the usb devices. In the logs I do'nt find information about the cause of the problem. With the sound devices appear a similar problem (Bug 201055), and I will try if works the propossed solution: "Comment #2 From Ludwig Nussel 2006-08-23 02:41:27 MST [reply] never mind. looks like hal no longer searches $PATH for hal-resmgr. adding a symlink /usr/lib/hal/hal-resmgr -> /usr/sbin/hal-resmgr fixes the problem." They are a open bug about the digikam 0.8.2 SIGSEGV (Bug 202955). digikam will also likely crash when using avahi-compat-mDNSResponder and camera autodetect. My bad. Looks unrelated to PolKit. Ciao, Marcus --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

I got: getfacl /dev/bus/usb/005/008 getfacl: Removing leading '/' from absolute path names # file: dev/bus/usb/005/008 # owner: root # group: root user::rw- user:jerbes:rw- group::r-- mask::rw- other::r-- /dev/bus/usb/005/008 was obtained via udevmonitor. I have debugged digikam with ddd/gdb, and obtained: digikam: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libgphoto2_port/0.6.0/disk.so: undefined symbol: dbus_connection_disconnect Program exited with code 0177. Now I will verify if gphoto2 and gphotofs are updated. Yes, this is yet another Alpha bug... I fixed it in Factory. Ciao, Marcus --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
