A Christmas update and a little wish for Leap 16.0
Hello openSUSE! We have an upcoming vacation season and I'd like to wish everybody a wonderful time. We are cancelling Release calls on Wednesday until the end of the year, this is already reflected in calendar.opensuse.org. In case you're working on the project over the break, you can still add your update into the meeting minutes https://etherpad.opensuse.org/p/ReleaseEngineering-meeting. If I could have one wish it would be for maintainers to have a look into pending Leap 16 reviews. We still have open requests for over 2500 packages. https://build.opensuse.org/staging_workflows/openSUSE:Leap:16.0 The unfortunate thing is that many packages might not have a maintainer, or they have a maintainer who's no longer active in the project. If you would have spare time, please have a look into packages pending maintainer review in the link above. It might be one of your packages. Alternatively you could also see reviews in reviews for your development project. What to look for in the link above? Ignore "Red" staging project at the bottom, these also have issues to get built in the first place. At this moment the priority is requests blocked only on the maintainer review. These stagings have a blue color and packages/requests are marked with a little white-archive-box-like icon. If you happen to be one of the maintainers of such a package or its devel project, we'd appreciate either approval or rejection of the request for Leap 16.0. You should be able to add a review after clicking on the request. Enjoy the break! -- Best regards Luboš Kocman openSUSE Leap Release Manager
