[opensuse-factory] License Selection
In reference to https://build.opensuse.org/request/show/103430 , I wanted to find the correct license for PyMol per spdx.org . Not the CNRI listed in the spec file is incorrect. The Copyright can be seen at http://pymol.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/pymol/trunk/pymol/LICENSE?revision=3... , some people describe this as a modified MIT license (eg https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-legal-list/2009-August/msg00024.html ). I am torn between labelling it as MIT or SUSE-Permissive , any thoughts on the matter and which I should do? -David -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

The request is in review by legal-team, so I wouldn't guess if I was you. But MIT is close enough as far as the license summary concerns that is written in the spec file. For everything else there should be a LICENSE/COPYING file in the package.
